Dear Morons of America,

I see that a lot of you have been posting the following status on your social networking forum of choice today: "Dear Japan: It's not nice to be snuck up on by something you can't do anything about, is it? Sincerely, Pearl Harbor."

OH MY GOD.

On behalf of Japan, the sane Americans who you are making look bad, and GENERAL HUMANITY, I will shove my keyboard SO FAR UP YOUR ASS.

Vomiting in your general direction,

sefkhet

God. It's not like the Japanese wrote on their Facebook pages in the aftermath of Katrina: "Dear America: It's not nice to be snuck up on by something you can't do anything about, is it? Sincerely, Hiroshima."

Well, it's possible they did. I don't read Japanese that well. But somehow, I doubt it.

People make me so mad.

OH MY FUCKING GOD. ::whimper::

1. STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID!!!
2. It's been SEVENTY YEARS CAN WE GROW UP NOW??
3. PLEASE GET ME OUT OF HERE I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE!

Honestly, I knew it was bad, but this is just horrifying beyond my ability to comprehend it. I will not stand in the way of you and your keyboard and anything else you might like to include with it. In fact, I will fight off the idiotic fucktards who might object to your plans.

Sometimes I really, really hate people. :(

Sadly, I'm just shocked I haven't seen that post yet from my old Fundie students or my racist hillbilly cousins.

All the Fundie students are focusing their FB statuses on speculation that this earthquake (like every natural disaster) is a "labor pang as the world prepares for Jesus' return". *eyeroll*

Because, you know, this is the first era in all of civilization's history in which there has been more than one natural disaster in a short time period. *moreeyerolling*

Belatedly catching up on LJ. This is the ultimate in disgusting behaviour. I despair.

*sputters* I can't decide -- is saying that more disgusting than infuriating, or more infuriating than disgusting? I guess it's a tie. Un-freaking-believable. My jaw literally dropped when I read the status.

It is difficult to know what to do with so much happiness.
With sadness there is something to rub against,
a wound to tend with lotion and cloth.
When the world falls in around you, you have pieces to pick up, something to hold in your hands, like ticket stubs or change.

But happiness floats.
It doesn't need you to hold it down.
It doesn't need anything.
Happiness lands on the roof of the next house, singing, and disappears when it wants to.
You are happy either way.
Even the fact that you once lived in a peaceful tree house and now live over a quarry of noise and dust cannot make you unhappy.
Everything has a life of its own.,
it too could wake up filled with possibilities of coffee cake and ripe peaches,
and love even the floor which needs to be swept,
the soiled linens and scratched records.

Since there is no place large enough to contain so much happiness,
you shrug, you raise your hands, and it flows out of you into everything you touch. You are not responsible.

You take no credit, as the night sky takes no credit for the moon, but continues to hold it, and share it, and in that way, be known.
